Paint and Body Work

All our machines are professionally painted by a Professional Paint shop that uses the correct original Dupont Enamel, just like it was done in the factory. The fist sep is body repair, these machines always have many, many dents that some don't notice until too late. It is also here that the rust on the bottom of the cabinet liner is cut out, and a new panel installed, and a final coat of fiberglass matting applied, before the machine is returned to me. I always undercoat the machines interior trouble areas, because we see where these machines rusted internally, and care enough to protect our machines internally also.

Caution: Many restorers use newer Base Coat / Clear Coat paint technology. Besides being the incorrect paint, this type of paint is very, very difficult to touch up, and if you want to keep your machine looking new, you will need to touch it up occasionally, pretending that normal wear and accidents will not happen is just silly...... We include a small bottle of touch up paint with our machines.

Caution #2: Some restorers will use Base Coat / Clear Coat paint to clear coat over the bottle / hand and sprite boy decals..... Besides leaving a plastic looking film over the decals, It is historically incorrect to restore a Coke Machine clearing over those decals, they were always put on by the distributors as an aftermarket option, and would always have been applied on top of the Dupont Enamel paint.
